Here's a realistic picture for 2026, with the caveats most salary pages skip.
One caveat up front: every figure below is a directional market signal from job postings and public reports, not a promise. Individual offers swing widely with your portfolio, the company and how you negotiate.
Salary by experience
- Entry / fresher (0–2 yrs): typically ₹6–12 LPA, higher at product companies and for strong portfolios.
- Mid-level (3–6 yrs): roughly ₹12–25 LPA as you own projects end to end.
- Senior / lead (7+ yrs): ₹25–50 LPA and beyond, especially with people or platform ownership.
The jump from entry to mid-level is the steepest — it's where shipping real, deployed work (not just notebooks) starts to compound.

Location still matters, though remote and hybrid roles are flattening it:
